Microsoft Outlook Template
« on: March 19, 2004, 03:26:55 PM »
When I try to save a mail message as an "Outlook Template" (*.oft) the option is not available.  How do I install this option in Outlook 2000 SR-1 or is it even available.  I can't seem to find it in the Control Panel where you change the programs.

Microsoft Outlook should detect the templates are not installed and install them for you. If this is not occurring you can install Microsoft Office templates by following the below steps.

1. Place the Microsoft Office 2000 CD in the computer.
2. Open Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
3. In Add/Remove programs click the change button for "Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 Standard"
4. Click the + next to Microsoft word for windows, and make sure each of the Wizard and Templates are installed.

NOTE: Please let us know if this works for you so we can update our database with this solution.
