    Windows 10 not worth it ?

    I'm still searching for answers ; I've heard a lot of negative comments about windows 10.
    I have Windows 8.1 and wonder if i should keep it, or will M. S. stop support ?
    Also hear sooner or later, i'd be paying for W. 10
    If i do install, can I go back to Windows 8.1 If I don't like 10 ?

    Keep Windows 8.1 as long as your like.
    Thee is no strong reason for moving to Windows 10. But it you did have a strong reason -You would not have started this thread. -Right?
    By the time 8.1 gets to end of life, windows will have morphed into something different.

    First of all, why don't you document some of the "negative comments" regarding W10? I haven't heard any - and I use it on 3 systems. Second, support for W8 will not end until 2023. Third, if you use disc imaging software you can upgrade, downgrade, sidegrade - whatever you like - and still return to where you first started any time you like.

      I agree with making a disc image. I have upgraded my machines to Win10 and all but this one works great, but, and there always is a but isn't there, When I tried to go back to Win8.1 it tells me that the files can not be found. I know several who wanted to go back and got the same message. I wish I had made a disk image!

        Well, as for negative comments on Windows 10, I've been reading them on various websites, people I talk to.
        I imagine every time something new comes along, there are the naysayers. Guess i'll stick with 8.1 for now
