AutoHotkey is a fantastic free and open source Microsoft Windows tool that allows you to create macros, scripts, and automate frequently performed tasks on your computer.

But my recommendation is  for a commercial variation That I have used for years. Maybe twenty years, i think. Here is the up-to-date documentation:

The current version requires Windows 7 and up.
IMHO this commercial program is worth the money. You can download a light demo version to see if it is want you want. The pro version sallow over  250 macros you can call from your keyboard with just two keystrokes. (One three keystrokes if you have some keys already set by other applications. ) And if you want to go for four keystrokes, it gets to be thousands of scripts at your fingertips.
Anyhow, I like it and prefer it to the others.
