woahthere......  Well first of all ...what kind of a system are you using ?.......
It's possible that the temp has increased and the fans have reacted to the increase ....or possibly the fan controller has failed or is failing ...... but with out more info ...........who knows ......

Do you have anything to monitor temperature and fan speed .......
If not try ....... pc wizard 2006.....  http://www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php

this will give you all sorts of info about your machine

report back what the temperature and fans speeds are .

woahthere...... Ok , those temps and speed dont look out of line .......I would say normal .........
Is the noisy fan the one on the CPU ....?  Have you opened up the case and checked to see if its coated in dust or there's a wire which may be just touching it causing the noise......
You mentioned earlier that your fan runs at various speeds ....how do you know that ?

woahthere....  I have just taken the time to re read all your posts going back to before Christmas ......... AND it would seem you have had a number of issues with your pc .......  Have you taken the time to find your motherboard manual and see if it supports variable fan control?
You have also been asked ......which fan or fans are making the " LOADS OF NOISE" ......... You have not offered that info.

Also , what type of " LOADS OF NOISE" is it making ?

i have no motherborad manual it was a prefab computer. i know its the fan on the cpu because theres only 2 fans in the comp, and i held the fan at the back to stop it and the comp still made the noise when i turned it on while holding the fan.the noise that it is making is just the sound of the fans spining really fast. it used to spin fast when it was booted up then go nearly silent after about 10 seconds but now it just sounds like its spining that fast all the time. and thanks for taking the time to read my older posts.
