my laptop Acer Aspire A 315 opens twice on start up.

To explain, for example I click on mail, it opens for 1 second then closes, 1second later it opens again and performs nearly normaly, the scrolling jumps a few lines. this happens with all programs, I have run anti malware with Total Av several times to no avail, I can use the computer wtth no other problems all day long, can someone tell me what is wrong and how to fix it.

One option you could try is backing up all your data to cloud storage or external drive and then clean installation of Windows and its drivers. If it continues to act this way after a clean install then it could be hardware related.

Is this computer still running Windows 10 Home that came with it or are you having these issues on Windows 11?
