Hello Folks,
The problem that i am facing is that I want to Login as a user to a Windows damain say XYZ through command line..
In other words i want command line alternate to when computer starts and we enter user name then password and then select the domain we want to login(All in GUI)..

I found the net logon command mentioned @ the URL
                                                                  http://www.computerhope.com/nethlp.htm
and When i type it as follows on dos prompt
                                 net logon user1 123 /domain:XYZ

Following msg is shown
"The Syntax of this command is
NET [ACCOUNTS | COMPUTER | CONFIG  ...USER | VIEW"

and nothing happens....

Hope i ll get the answer ...

The NET LOGON command is for older versions of DOS.  It sounds like you are trying to use the NET LOGON command from within Windows 2000/XP, which is not supported.
