Scanner problem.

I have a Dell Dimension 4300 Pentium 4 Processor & a Lexmark X83 Printer, Scanner, Copier, all-in-one. I can't get it to Print, Scan or Copy. In the little "window" on the Printer it says "Power Down Error". Can someone help me, please.  Ann123

You may need to install chipset drivers but Dell have had problems with underpowered USB ports. Disconnect anything else from USB and try different ports.
Probably, the best solution would be an addin USB2 card.
