Do you know how to retrieve the current IP for each computer?

Right, now can you ping each machine from the other?
Open a command prompt and enter ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx where xxx etc is the other computers IP.

What were the 4 lines? Were the pings successful?

It didn't say they wern't successful so im guessing they were. See i figured out the problem, and that is that i can get stuff from Computer 2(wireless) to Computer1(router) but i cant get stuff from Computer1(router) to Computer2(wireless).

Do you have any way of trying to fix that.

Back to the firewall problem... You say computer1(router). It has an firewall installed on it? If it does, you have to set permissions on computer1 to allow computer2 to browse your network shares.

Both computers have the basic Windows SP2 Firewall on them.

Control Panel->Windows Firewall: it is allowed access to file sharing? See the Exceptions tab; if the firewall is on, the file and sharing shouldn't be ticked (on computer1 - router).

Nope. File sharing is allowed on both comptuers under the firewall.

Disable the firewall and ICS from the services console! It is totally unnecessary as your router firewall is in place. Is there any 3rd party firewall or other security software in place?
          Are any folders shared?
Is a common username in place on both machines?
What are the shared folder etc perms?
This would be much easier if static IPs were used.

          Rickstaaa:

After you follow the other suggestions, try the Add Printer Wizard:

          1. Make sure Computer1 is on and connected to the the network and that the printer connected to it is on and online.
          2. On Computer2, open Printers and Faxes as described in my previous reply.
          3. In Printers and Faxes, click the Add a Printer link on the left-hand side of the window.
          4. In the Add Printer Wizard, click Next.
          5. In the Local or Network Printer page, click the Network Printer, or Printer Attached to Another Computer option button and click Next.
          6. In the Specify a Printer page, click the Browse for a Printer option button, and click Next.
          7. Under Shared Printers, the Add Printer Wizard will display any printers it finds, or might display Microsoft Windows Network.
          8. If it displays Microsoft Windows Network, double-click on it and wait for the wizard to find the shared printer.
          9. When the wizard finds the printer, click on its icon and click Next; the wizard will install the drivers for the printer, and display its icon in the Printers and Faxes window.

If the wizard does not find the printer, let us know and we will let you know what to try next.

          Best regards,
          Doc
