windows media player problem

ive just been using limewire for the first time and WMP was working fine and now all of a sudden it wont open and i have no idea why, can anyone help.  this is what is under properties Target: "C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" /prefetch:1
i dont know if the bit in red is supposed to be there?

Do you have virus and Spyware protection? Which operating system are you using? Which version of WMP do you own?

i do have protection, not sure which version it is but PC is less than a year old if that helps?  i restarted PC and it worked agian but now its stopped again.  im using xp

Limewire and any P2P file sharing is a GREAT way to get viruses and othe malware. Lots of protection including a firewall is needed if you intend to pursue this activity.

    The /prefetch switch is nothing to worry about, it's only XPs way of trying to disguise how slow it is. ::)
    W2K doesn't require it. :D
