error message
« on: August 22, 2006, 05:32:13 AM »
Hello, I am having a couple of problems with my computer and was wondering if the two would be related. I have been trying to open a com port and getting a failed to open message.(using a 9 pin null modem cable) Also when I shut down the computer, this message appears - IXCFCOMS.EXE DLL INITIALIZATION FAILED. Would the two be linked? I am running windows 2000 service pack 4.
Any help would be great. Thank You in advance Ivan.

What is the hardware involved, what have you just added to the mix and what malware protection is being used? What are you using to "open a comm port"?
