Good evening all!

Looking for some advice please. Just had to revert to Win98 due to issues I was having with XP & since the change, I am stuck with 16 Colour 640 x 480 pixel resolution.

i have tried changing adaptor, performance, colour controller but to no avail!!
System is currently on Standard PCI Graphics Adaptor VGA, full hardware acceleration & no colour management.
I am struggling to see what I am writing here!!

Please help me sort this out - it's going to drive me up the wall!!!

Cheers

type msinfo32 in the run box this will show you what is on your pc....or a short cut for graphics...type dxdiag in the run box...this will tell you everything about your graphics card....then go to the manufactors website for drivers or drivers.com

First you have to know what kind of videocard is installed.

Go to start -> Run and type DXdiag. From there, head to the 3rd tab (Monitor, I believe) and see what the name says.

Or you can, as Merlin says, type MSINFO32 in Run.

Videocard drivers can be obtained either from the CD given with the videocard or downloaded from the manufacturers webpage. If you have an onboard videocard you will may locate the drivers on the CD that came with your mainboard.

GRD.....What issues were you having with XP ? Xp is by far a better operating system than win 98.......however if you insist on using win 98 .......remember that you will probably have to reload your drivers to get things back to win 98 standards ......
You would be much better off using XP........
    Please let us know

    dl65  ???
If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.
