now, sure, sony will keep it alive with PS3, BUT, it will not catch on anywhere else, unless they let others make blu-ray discs and\or burners, so far, the only discs and burners are sony... personally, the only good i see this doing for anyone is making it that much easyer to pirate sony's PS3 games. that is, when these things are in a reasonable price range (if that ever happens). the current price for a blu-ray burner is 700 bucks on newegg:

i doubt THAT price will be dropping soon. i think i will stick with DVD's, and Dual Layer DVD's. alteast, until these burners and discs are a reasonable price (doubt that will happen anytime soon, if ever)
another thing, i think that one of these would be alittle much for my 2.6 celery
