Firefox isn't working!
« on: November 11, 2006, 10:55:26 PM »
Whenever I load firefox it gives me the "Problem loading page" Unable to connect error. As if I wasn't connected to the internet, but Internet Explorer and my internet are fine. I reinstalled it, but nothing changed. >:(

Any ideas?

EDIT: I don't know if this helps, but I added a screenshot of the console thing.

What version of FireFox do you have ? ?

Have you double checked that it is not installed twice ? ?

Reason i ask is i've seen these symptoms and that is what was causing it.

I uninstalled it again to see if it was installed twice or something, but it's still not working.

I thought you might be right about it being installed twice because I had 2 shortcuts, but I don't remember making another.

Firefox Version 2.0

Did you happen to have your profile backed up ? ?

This method will lose all that data.

Remove FireFox in ADD / Remove Programs.
Now using Windows Explorer go to Docs and Settings/User Name/Application Data and you will find a Mozilla folder...Delete it.
Empty the recycle bin and re-boot.
Re-install FireFox and it should runproperly.

You will need to do this for each user if there are more than one.
