External Hard Drive
« on: November 13, 2006, 03:10:29 PM »
I've just purchased an external hard drive for my now 'full' computer. If I move all of the data that is filling the computer hard drive across to the external, i.e. pictures, music etc, will the computer regain some of it's original speed, or will I have to perform any other function to get some speed back ?

Thanks in advance

Start with that, then download and run CCleaner (free at ccleaner.com), run a defrag, then we will go from there if the problem persists. Windows needs 15% free druve space for proper function.

When installing Ccleaner, uncheck the Yahoo toolbar. You don't need that.
