i am not sure if you can see the pic but here is wat my bios says

thankyou street for your help, i am sure i will hear from you next time  ;D

forgot 2 mention when i put the digital camera in to take the pic off the camera it said removable disk (E:  :-? usually its meant to be either the G: H: I: or the J:.

Get a brand new IDE cable and hook it up by itself on IDE #2...this will tell you if it works or needs replaced.

I agree with patio but, I would try uninstalling the camera from add/remove programs and see what happens.

Did you just now add this camera?

Also,If you right click on my computer icon,then click manage,then click device manager,then double click on DVD/CD-ROM drives,does your lite-on dvdr show up there,or is it missing?

No I did not just add this camera, i was putting the pics on my comp as the memory card was full, have done it heaps of times...

I looked where you told me to look & it says I have the LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW -832S

Download this program and see if it works.Just download double click on the  '314060.exe' file and follow the instructions and it does the fix for you.

I am at work at the moment o once I am home I will download it & let you know wat happens  ;)

If it does not work I guess we might have to get our friend to come over & see wat is wrong with it or we might have to go to a computer shop & see what they say...
