Bbdaniha.exe
« on: October 05, 2004, 09:26:26 AM »
Almost everyday I have a problem shutting down my computer because of this Bbdaniha executable.   Instead of shutting down normally, Bbdaniha has a problem and I always have to click the "end now" button.

This executable resides in my C:\windows\system32 directory, and BBDANIHA.EXE-0AAC6A4D.pf is in my C:\windows\prefetch directory.

I have no idea what this stuff is!?  I've searched in Google, Microsoft, etc.  Any ideas??

I've run antivirus software & spyware software.  Doesn't appear to be a virus or spyware.

Could it be a lost executable that wasn't properly uninstalled during a software uninstall?

Can you not simply remove it? Files in your prefetch folder can be safely removed. Emptying your prefetch folder on a regular basis prevents that folder from taking up too much diskspace.

There's nothing in the startup folder (under msconfig) and there's no listings in the add/remove programs.

I'll try removing it from the prefetch folder (what is a prefetch folder?). And I'm sure I can move the .exe file.

windows  uses prefetch to speed booting times....leave the exe in there ...if after 3 days has passed windows will dump it...
