can anyone help please i have no sound coming out of my pc have done all the usual checks wires eetc to no avail any ideas please

Have you installed all the correct drivers? What kind of sound card do you have?

hi thanks yes i have installed the updated driver it is the c media ac97 this happened before and the sound came back on its own but i had to replace the motherboard at the weekend and it has happened again any ideas fffreak :-?

Is the onoboard audio on the motherboard still on in the BIOS? You have to turn that off if you have an additional sound card.

If it is a different motherboard and no additional sound card you have to load the appropriate drivers for the new board.
