Hard Drive Failure
« on: April 04, 2004, 05:36:19 PM »
I have a IBM computer thats about 20 years old and every time I boot-up the computer with the HD enabled i get a hard drive failure. Now I have to use a start-up boot disk on a 3 1/2 in. floppy.  its one of those computers that have a 3 1/2 in. floppy drive, 5in. floppy drive, and a small hard drive, low memory, slow CPU, and no usb ports. Can someone help me with the HD problem?

Being that you stated the system is 20 years old and you get a HD failure it might simply be that the HD croaked.  Heck I wouldnt bet the HD has more space than a 3 1/2 floppy anyways ???
