ummm... look into a custom built rig... there cheaper then prebuilt ones

      heres my custom WOW rig

      amd 3800+ duo 64 x2
      2 gigs of ddr2 800 ram
400 gigs of hhd(80 windows hhd and 320 linux and windows back up)
      geforce 7600 gs 256 card
      two monitors
      full tower

i can play wow(on the highest settings) and msn and internet

but that cost me 1400 USD

Building your own PC would be cheaper and you could get exactly what you want.
But only if you have some experience or someone who knows about it to help you - I wouldn't advise someone with no prior experience to try it.
I'm not sure on components and pricing over there, I'm in the UK.
But I do know a fair amount about what's good for gaming and what's not, etc.
I'll stick around anyway and see if I can help out at all.

Just look at the recomended requirements for the game, and get a bit extra. Aim for more than 512MB and hm a 7600-ish graphics card if you can.

With the right tutorials, you might be able to pull it off.  When I first came here, I had no idea how to even set up a slave drive (only weeks later, this is funny to me because I know find it so simple).  But after spending a few days messing around with the inside of a computer and reading up on how things work, I'm fairly confident I could build my own computer without much hassle.  If you have the time to sacrifice, it might be worth a shot.  Just make sure you catch up on some reading first.

I'd forget about playing WoW, buy a better computer with the money my wise advise has saved you and play some real games that require skill and not endless grinding. In the end, you'll regret it.
