Real Player v10
« on: October 17, 2004, 08:28:25 PM »
I have real player 10 on windows xp. I also have a heap of video clips that will only play on real player 8. I am constantly installing and uninstalling the two versions depending on what I want to watch. The automatic real updates do not work. Is there a way I can view these clips on real player 10?

As much as I hate to say it, I think Raptor is right.  Real Player is a very beefy program to begin with (uses alot of system resources) and there are many other programs that will play .rm files, many of which are free.

There are VLC Player, plugins for Winamp, and codecs for Windows Media player that will play RealMedia's junk. Scrap the RealOne Player 10 and 8 entirely and use a player that isn't such a resource hog and isn't full of adware and worse. RealDownload Manager stinks!
