Run time error
« on: October 21, 2004, 09:32:11 AM »
I downloaded Bible Database and everytime I go to open the Diary part I get this message:
Runtime error "429"
Can't create object.
Does anyone know what this means or how I can get the diary to work? Thanks.

Sorry, I forgot some of the message: it should read:
Runtime error "429"
Active X component can't create object.
Thanks.

You may need a .DLL file required to run your program.

Either Google for it or refer to the manufacturer's troubleshooting.

Can you tell me how to tell the version of directx? Sorry, I'm self-taught on the computer and don't know a lot of the technical end. Thanks.

Sorry, I looked at your post too early this morning! Now I have seen the page you referred me to. Thank you. I was running version 9 of Direct x (with Windows 98) and I reinstalled it and the Bibledatabase program...still same problem. I will read up more on it. Thanks.

As I have said, you may need to obtain a certain .DLL to run the program. I suggest you contact the developer or technical support of the company that created the software.
