Sound issues with Hp dv6000
« on: April 25, 2007, 09:29:03 AM »
i have a hp dv6000 and for some reason the sound wont work with windows. there are touch pad buttons for the multimedia keyboard and they make a sound when i turn the volume up or down/ play/stop etc.  the headphone jack will work for external speakers. ive tryed reinstalling the sound drivers but had no luck.  i have had this same problem with the 'Compaq Evo n2010v'
if more information is needed let me know

thanks

I'm assuming you're running Windows XP. Have you tried going through the suggested steps on the below documents. I've found these steps resolve 90% of sound related issues.
