I currently use a dial up internet service and am looking into getting wireless internet for a laptop. I live in an apartment complex that has its own satellite system (Crossman Cable), and neither DSL nor high speed internet is available in my area because of this. Will this hinder my availability to get wireless internet? Someone had mentioned the possibility of getting a home router, but I'm not sure what that is or how the wireless internet works. Any tips will be much appreciated!
