Cant access one web page tried everthing!!

I am ussing xp and IE6.  Haven't updated to sp2 yet.
I can not connect to Ebay at all.  Sometimes I can get in to home page but no further.

So far have tried deleting cookies plus files.
Scanned for viruses etc.
Scanned and remove spware adaware etc.
Emptied everything to free disc space.

Any help appreciated >:(

can you acess it if you disable your firewall?or pop up killer/stopper..and check you have your cookies enabled...some sites will not load without them?

    Thanks for help.

    Trying disabling firewall etc no change.
    Cookies are enabled.

    Connecting to ebay.co.uk

    Today can get to home page, to result of search but beyond that a request for next web page come back with page can not be displayed.

    Any further help would be appreciated. ???

    Does the page simply show you a 404 or does it have trouble loading?

    Goes straight to 404. No trouble getting to 404 at all!

    Are you connected through a Router?

    I suggest trying a different browser such as Mozilla Firefox

    Have tried it and at first it worked got three pages into ebay.  Then it stoped allowing me to access past home page.

    With firefox I get an ALERT saying "the document contains no data"

    Any further suggestions please

      spotty...I just went to  http://www.ebay.co.uk/
      Got to the first page ok...then clicked on a link and got the following.
      The page cannot be displayed
      The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

      Then I tried several other global eBay sites with no problems .......then went back to eBay uk ......and it was working 100%   ....so perhaps its the site .

      I get a 'can't make contact' error as well when clicking on other links.

      no problem accessing ebay or another  site..using ie 5.5.. try pinging the site ....try the repair option...go to control panel/add/remove...click the internet explorer6 a splash box should appear..chose..>repair ie..or athis browser was supposed to be everything that ie is not>http://www.avantbrowser.com/download.html
