Acer Aspire 1360 Won't play dvds

Hello!

My laptop refuses to play dvd movies. It will load up game dvds and even cds but not movies. I put a movie in, it sounds like it is loading then it stops and it never shows up in MyComputer... I am completely confused. It is not only one movie, it is all movies. How can it read every other dvd/cd and not movies? Is there anything I can do?
