Does anyone know a good REPAIR program for the registry?

I think CCleaner just deletes bad entries

Here's a good one...Registry Mechanic by PC Tools Software.  It's not free, but I use it and swear by it.

    http://www.pctools.com/registry-mechanic/

There's a trial version, but it will only fix the first few entries.

Remember, if you're going to use this type of software...make sure you compare other products before purchasing...understand what the program does...learn the software before using it...most of all...know what you're doing.

Screwing with the registry isn't for amateurs...

What do you man by "repair"?
CCleaner removes left over or redundant entries to save space and therefore make the system faster.

I would say if a program alters the registry to make it better in any way, it could be classed as a registry repair program.

There almost certainly will be programs that do similar/other things though...

Or something that like gets rid of bad entries or replaces deleted entries and see if values and stuff are correct for best performance...

That's why I asked what you yourself meant by repair.
I classify CCleaner as a registry repair tool, as well as utilities such as ERUNT which can back up and restore copies of the registry.

What I mean with repairing is quiet simple:
A prog that automatically restores entries who are damaged by a virus or by malware,...
I know you can backup you registry and then just restore it when its damaged but when you installed a prog between the last backup and the wrong registry the you have a problem.
Than you can say just reinstall it but...
I think that by now you understand what I trying to say.
