really it won't work with more than 4Gb. I would have thought it would. So i can still get 4Gb and it will work fast right? Cause my friends selling me 2 Gbs of Ram for like $50 there the OCZ DDR2 800Mhz Ram.And the computer has 2 Gb already on it.

XP will not work with more than 4Gb.
4Gb is also overkill for most people.
1Gb is the sweet spot for performance/price, and 2Gb is good for almost anyone.

I'm glad you said this 1st, I almost went ahead to 4 gigs and kept reading how people were having issues with that much ram on my mobo ....  2 gigs is perfect for my lame uses ! Besides, save money for the next upgrade in ram.
mobo- MSI P6N SLI / LCD Samsung  226BW
    Ram- G-Skill dual HQ / Speakers- 5300e's
    Fatality Hi-Fi Soundcard
    cpu - currently ~ E6600 / Foxfire only
    dual~Seagate 320 gig sata's
    8800 gts- MSI /Verizon Fios

Wouldn't 4Gb of RAM run super smooth?. I guess if i'm getting 4Gbs of RAM I should use Vista. Even though it's Vista 4Gb of Ram will run super smooth?....Right!?

I'm not convinced even Vista is optimised for 4G of RAM....

What MBoard are we talking about here ? ? ?

Just go with 2Gb and save the money, it's the easiest, cheapest and most trouble-free solution.
