      How so?
It's just really funny that someone would come here expecting to get a free video card.  Can't blame him for trying, though.

You never can tell when someone might respond to something like this. On another board which I used to frequent we had a little exchange program, which was actually more of a give-away. A lot of the patrons built their own computers and had parts galore. To them, it was junk lying around collecting dust. To some, it was a gold mine. No one ever paid more than shipping costs. We donated spare parts and built machines for an old folks home. They were not state of the art but were very serviceable. With a name like Computerhope, maybe this the persons last hope.

I've actually been trying to get one from a guy I went to school with.  Heh.  If I managed to get it, my current one would be up for grabs.

Actually, I do. But most of what I have left is to old to be of much use. I have an old 368 computer that I have been considering trying to revive, maybe with linux. Or how about an original TRS80 with a whopping 4K of memory. ;D

I got an old laptop that could use a better video card.

I just like to get things like CD Drives, hard disks and other parts (broken) and I like to throw them around outside. Entertainment.

I think you would run into a brick wall upgrading the video
on an old laptop, but the brick wall is fun----->SPLAT! LOL!
