Rob Pomeroy
« on: June 20, 2007, 12:17:23 AM »
I just got done reading Rob Pomeroys latest entry on his public myspace, and it turns out, he is busy trying to find a house
Quote
So we put our house on the market... So it sold within two weeks... Now we need to find somewhere to buy, and quick!

We decided to move, having seen the proposed plans for our extension.  We need suitable disability-adapted accommodation for our son Morgan as he grows older.  We were thinking of extending the house we currently live in (which we love), but the plans demonstrated that we couldn't really do what we wanted without wrecking the character of the house and decimiating the kitchen.  So we're now moving instead of extending.

Finding somewhere suitable is much easier said than done.  First, let's be honest, we're very fussy.  We know what we like in terms of character of property and type of neighbourhood.  We have been spoilt where we are and we don't really want to compromise too much from the quality of the area we've been living in.  Second, there is very little property in the area that (a) is suitable and (b) we can afford.  If money were no object (hah - doesn't everyone wish that were true!) we would have no problem.  As it is, the hunt is proving troublesome.

We did find an ideal property.  Great location.  Perfect amount of rooms.  Great layout.  Nice large garden (very necessary for my keen gardening wife - it's her therapy). The only trouble was that the seller wanted too much for the property, and even worse, apparently someone else was willing and able to pay it.  So just as we thought we'd got it sewn up, we're back to square one.

If anyone has a spare £100,000 they don't need, feel free to send it our way!

Anyone?

Heh heh.

Actually, I believe that 100K British Pounds equates to about 200K U.S. Dollars, according to the Universal Currency Converter.

I don't think there's any difference in the book cover.  The image on Amazon is just poor quality image; it's too dark and doesn't show the center image on the book cover very well.
