^^I've done that, and downloaded the most current firmware, but since I don't have the install cd and haven't installed any drivers, I can't do anything with the firmware file.
My new plan is to set up the dsl modem and router on my daughter's computer and then connect my new computer when it arrives later. I have the router connected and followed the install instructions I printed from the D-Link site, but when it gets to the screen that says "set PPPoE" it asks for a user name and password and says that they are optional bu may be required by my ISP. What would they be and how do I find them? I have Yahoo DSL and its always on, I don't enter a user name or password to get online. This is really starting to frustrate me. I've never attempted a home network (or any network) before, and I figured it was a simple thing just to connect the modem to the router and everything would auto detect. What can I do to fix this?
