notebook audio problems
« on: November 14, 2004, 05:27:22 PM »
I have a Clevo notebook D22ES and the sound is not working, where can I find out what the proper audio setting should be AND how do I know if I need a new soundcard? I went to a computer store and they told me I would have to buy and EXTERNAL sound card for a notebook, is this true or is there any way of fixing/replacing the one I have?
Thank you for any info you can give.... this sucks!!

First check if the correct drivers are installed for your sound card.

Your computer has sound.  There is no sound card; it's a notebook computer.

This is your computer:

On the internet, go to your computer manufacturer's website. Usually they supply a good amount of current drivers for you to grab.
