    Whether the link is real...
    Well I know Microsoft participate in open source projects, they even have their own hosting site for projects (ala Sourceforge), so I'm guessing it's real.

    Microsoft hosts SourceForge?

      No they don't host SourceForge but own a similar service called Codeplex.
