          a router/gateway to the internet provides this function thru usualy one Host computer (where the cable/DSL modem is connected into that computer, host) and may have others connected by CAT5 cable if you want or more commonly PCI/PCIe wireless 802.11 g/b/n cards in the other computers that are set up as part of  the same group/network/domain...The main purpose of a router is to provide internet access to a group of computers..

          Making sure you dont forget to set the wpa/psk..Security!
