Connection disparity
« on: December 11, 2004, 05:37:05 PM »
I was trying to register at a site for movie dowloading, and it told me that my connection speed was too low (19.4 kbps). Now, I have  DSL modem and a brand spanking new Dell PC. When I checked the connection status, it told me my connection was 100 Mbps. I'm sort of confused, obviously. Could someone clarify?

Run a test>http://www.adslguide.org.uk/tools/speedtest.asp

the 100bps is you ethernet card and not downsteam speed....

like mine>Downstream 800 Kbps (100.0 KB/sec) 864 Kbps (inc. overheads)
Upstream 221 Kbps (27.6 KB/sec) 238 Kbps (inc. overheads
