    accessing second drive folders
    « on: November 14, 2007, 09:16:36 AM »
    Good afternoon

I have just taken a drive from and older computer of mine (which had windows crash on it) and connected it to my other computer to copy data off. Now I can access most of the data, but I cannot work out how to get permissions to access files in the My Documents section - though I have worked out how to open the folders.
The older drive is (or rather was) running windows xp, the new computer is running windows vista

any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated

edit - - some more tinkering and I have managed to fix the problem - sorry for the trouble

I'm trying to solve the exact same problem.  Not just for My Documents, I'm also trying to move my music library to my new computer.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

mhawk it's best to start a new Topic and provide as much info as you can on your machine, OS and what happened prior to this so we can assist...
