TRYING TOSET UP AN OLDER HP WITH WINDOWS XP -BLANK SCREEN, GREEN LED ON MOTHER BOARD, AND A SRIIES OF LONG BEEPS WHEN TURNED ON--ANY IDEAS??

Tried smashing the keyboard several times just to type normally? Don't. Just press the CAPS LOCK key.  ;)

These are BIOS beeps. Check this page to see what the problem is.
