Change the jumper to MASTER and see if it works then.

Getting to the BIOS varies, depending on manufacturer. Usually F2 or DEL. Usually says as soon as you turn it on.

I have the jumper on the two pins under the Master. It still isn't working. When I go to My Computer I don't even see an E: drive or cd rom.

Sounds like the jumper isn't correct...re-check the diagram

I just tried switching the jumper to all three positions and nothing happened. Could it be that somehow when I made the switch from the old cd burner to the new that I lost the drivers to the E: drive? Is there a way to check this? Remember I'm just a novice at best and just throwing it out there!
      Thanks!

What am I looking for in Bios? I was in MS-DOS and it gave me a list of things.
        Thanks.

In the BIOS, look under IDE configuration.

I didn't see it listed. What now?

Probably one of these 4 things:

          1. The jumper isn't in the right place
          2. The drive doesn't have power
          3. The drive isn't connected to the IDE cable correctly
          4. The drive is faulty (not likely, but not impossible)

Test the drive in another machine to see if it is working...

So you don't think it could be a lost driver or something? When I first installed the cd player and restarted the computer I got a message that the computer detected a new system or something like that and asked if I wanted to search for a new driver. I think I messed up there?
