      there is no such thing as a power supply being too strong. and usually, not all the time, PSU's that come with the case are crap.

      BTW i said the D: drive, not the C:

        Forgot I posted that, its a 450 watt psu in there, so I should get one with less wattage?

              you do not need anything higher then a 500w PSU for your comp's specs. if you are going to buy a new one, i recommend a corsair PSU. if you cant get your hands on a corsair, then OCZ makes good PSU's as well.

                  So we all think that its the PSU with the exception of Homer?  I dont want to spend a few more dollars if it wont work.  I probably have about a thousand in this machine alone.  It would explain why when it boots the leds on the fans dont come on or the fan period and why the dvd drive wouldn't start.   So does any one second the motion?

                      I have a question about my psu.  When I got it an went to plug it into the board the little square was with the big retanular connector an there was another little square that was a yellow color.  Are these for differnt wattages to the board?

                          are you talking about the 20+4 pin main motherboard power connector? does the little yellow square have four pins on it?

                            Yes,  didnt know what else to call it.  Yes,  it seemed odd cause the four pin white was connected to the 20 pin white.  But yes to the sec part if you didnt understand.
