dvd burner drive
« on: March 23, 2008, 07:48:24 PM »
I have a Dell w/ Win xp pro with dvd/cd burner. It works fine as long as I view everything on my PC.
How can I get the video's to play on other dvd players?
On my Dell, it only offers quick formating on dvd-r, dvd+r and cd-r
after I'm done recording, I go through and finalize through the "make compatible" option they offer.
The burner is supposed to support dvd-r, dvd+r, dvd-rw, cd-r
When I try and play it on the dvd player, I get an error message stating the disc is incompatible
Appreciate any help/suggestions you have

1. What burning program are you using?
2. Check standalone DVD player manual what type of DVDs it'll accept.

If your standalone DVD player supports the DVD's and CDR's you are burning, you need to close/finalise the disks before they will play on a standalone DVD player. I use Nero Burning Rom and find it the best burning prog to use . So it maybe the burning software you are using, try something else..... ;)
