    Can't read PDF
    « on: April 05, 2008, 04:39:29 PM »
I can't read a PDF in Microsoft. When I try to get to PDF it says it must be converted. I have Windows XP. Very frustrating. :'(

I presume you don't have a PDF reader installed?

    You can download either

    Adobe PDF reader

    http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/

    or

Foxit PDF reader (faster and smaller)

    http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php

There are a whole bunch of others, which you can find by doing a Google search for "free PDF reader".

If you already have done this, maybe the reader software got damaged and needs reinstalling.

Thank you so very much. I have been trying to fix this for a long time and I just stumbled upon Computer hope by accident. I installed Foxit PDF reader and sure enough it worked. I was getting ready to drag the computer behind my truck for a few hours. Thank you.

As for the future reference, avoid Adobe PDF reader.
