Javascript asp's

I am not a noob!!!

I was reading a javascript book the other day and I  found that if you had IIS then you could make asp's without having to buy a web page. My computer is running windows 2000 professional and it was not installed by default. I do not have access to the cd and when I looked it up on the microsoft site, it didn't appear to be there. Can anyone help me?

You will need your Win2K install disc if you want to install IIS.
Else you will have to look at alternative web servers.
