Just ran across and installed this. It works here. Looks useful....

With Forum Additive you can monitor a lot of threads of different forums.
    When one or more thread/s has a new replie/s you will be noticed of this whit a popup and/or sound and/or status bar notification.

    Now Forum Additive work good with this forums:
    > vBulletin
    > SMF
    > phpBB and phpBB XS mod
    > Invision Board
    > Forum Free
    > punBB

Once installed, if you want a shortcut to it right click an empty area of the address bar and choose customize then drag and drop the FA shortcut there.

If you open FA you can select Edit > Configure for the settings.

To watch a thread right click the thread title and make your selection.

It look/ss like whoever wrote that/this summary had/s a thing for slash/es. They used half of them wrong.....

Lol, I believe he used a translator and some of the characters didn't format correctly. Or it is an odd writing style...

Looks like a great tool, assuming it's not abusing the servers it's looking at. Would hope it's just checking RSS feeds related to the posts and not querying the pages being looked at every few minutes for updated posts.

It seems to give instant notification. I will get the Forum Additive notification before the email from being subscribed to the posts.

If it is a problem let me know - delete this post - and I will stop using it

I'm sure it wont be an issue. Seems like a well-written add-on and I added it but I can't restart Firefox yet so haven't really got to play with it. As long as it's not querying the server every few seconds it wouldn't be that much different then you visiting the site and checking for updated posts.

Pretty impressive though that you're getting notifications in the program before your e-mails.

Yep, when I hit the Post button from this post it will pop right up. Comes in handy for watching threads across the net without being subscribed to them

Finally restarted my Firefox and was able to play around with this add-on. Looks promising, has already come in real useful on on other forums.

Yep, however it works is above my knowledge but it is impressive how fast the notification comes
