Problem with vista

 A friend of mine is having problems with vista . He brought it to me the other day and told me that he installed a new video card in his brand new HP and when he plugged it back in he found out that he didn't have audio......can someone pleeeease help??

If you find out the sound card manufactuerer and model number, I suggest you go to their website and re-download the drivers.

vista's got loads of problems.

suggest u do what carbon suggested.

u can check ur audio card details through device manager.

I was pondering that question in my head as well...

Vista has gotten better over the past few months.

As someone said. the biggest problem is usually located between keyboard, and computer chair.

 Well of course I'm not as good at these things as you all are that's why i asked. The sound is integrated into the motherboard and is a realtek, and yes I've tried re downloading the driver 3 times and it keeps telling me that it doesn't recognize the driver.I think if it had been an XP OS I would've already figured it out

Where did you get those audio drivers from, and how did you try to install them?

 I got the driver from realtek and downloaded it straight from the web site

 It was called driver detective, and I clicked install
