I read the topic on their forums (not Patio's). Very interesting...

Short of disabling Site Advisor, no.
Why are you freaking out? You're not new here.

I don't know about everyone else, but the latest update for SiteAdvisor has made it quite annoying for me.  No matter what I do, I can't get the darn thing to hide when I start IE.  I'm tempted to mess around with the registry, but I think I'm too lazy to bother with it.

Do you mean hide from the toolbar?  What have you tried so far?

Yep, that's what I mean.  So far, I've only tried the standard stuff: trying the hide feature, disabling SiteAdvisor, updating, reinstalling.  So far, the only thing that works is reinstalling SiteAdvisor and not letting it update.  I was looking around online and I have read that for some reason, the latest update is making so the toolbar can't be hidden.  I'm hoping this will be fixed sometime soon.

Could be McAfee doesn't want you to disable it...

    ...and I thought I was strict.  ;)

Ha ha, that does indeed sound like a tactic that McAfee would use, but I like to think that this was actually an accident like they say it is.  But I won't hold my breath...

It's becoming a bit of an insult now.

I urge everyone to let Nathan handle this from here on unless he says otherwise. Causing comotion on their forums probably won't do any good and might make us look bad.
