The wireless switch on my notebook is orange when it used to be blue. It is in the on position, but I can not pick up any wireless networks. My computer is only a year and a half old. Could my wireless chip already have gone bad and if so what do I do?

Go to Device Manager and see if there are any Yellow Question Marks or Exclamation Marks.
(Right Click My Computer, go to Properties, Hardware tab and click Device Manager)
