upgraded to windows xp proffesional on older computer

I downloaded windows xp and went into general info.  USB ports, sound card, modem, etc. are not installed.  What am I doing wrong. Thanks!

Do you mean "installed" XP ? ?

Install your motherboard drivers...they should be on a CD that shipped with the machine.

    clearly you have the internet, so my advice would be(if you can't find the CD) to go to the manufacturers website and search the model number of your PC, if you have a custom pc, just search for drivers for the motherboard in google. or post it here, some one will help you find what you need.
