One more quick suggestion, can we make it so (for example) if it was my birthday, the Username Rank Color is changed to something like Purple (something different) :D

Well it actually shows a birthday cake in your user profile shown in a thread listing (like this page), also you're shown as a birthday member in the current birthday list. As far as changing the user rank color. Unfortunately I believe that may be more difficult than it's worth since it's already shown in the above mentioned spots.

The red hurts my eyes against the blue background, but that could just be because I'm tired.  I personally think a forest green or maroon would work better, but let's wait to see what everyone else says.  Also, I think OP would be sufficient enough because this feature is mostly intended for the helpers anyway, but I don't think anyone will have a problem with Topic Starter.

I should start thinking about sleep I guess.
You and me both, buddy.

I know if I had "TS" or "OP" next to a users name or the post bar that we'd be getting a lot of questions like, "why is TS / OP next to my name".

Last change for this for the night, changed it to a darker red, aka burgundy.

Heh, very good point.  I don't know about anyone else, but I like the burgundy a lot better.

I think bolding the text will make it look better actually.

I tried that initially, however, with the bolded text in the smaller font it's actually much harder to read.

I think a simple colored bar or block would be far more recognisable...

Why not keep it simple...and use the following image with an "alt" tag that reads "Topic Starter".
