Is it only moderators that can see IP addresses etc?
When I type /who username, I get their IP, time zone, language, and host.
Is that what everyone will see, or just mods, or what?

The whole point of a PM, is for it to be a PRIVATE message. So that would just destroy the whole privacy thing. In which case, no one would want to PM knowing that there "Private" messages are being read. That would not be a good idea at all. I completely disagree with it!

What I am saying is that right now, if you send a personal message, it can be seen by a moderator on the chat system. (Not a forum PM, a chat PM)
I am saying that this should not be something that moderators are able to do.

Moderators can see IP addresses... I have an account on CH for checking regular user permission things like this...

Nope, regular users are unable to see IP addresses.

So wait? I'm confused, you want it to be something that mods can do, but you're also saying that this should NOT be something that moderators can do?

Can? Or Can't??? I say CANNOT!! A private Message, is meant to be PRIVATE. And yes, I kon wyou mean in the chat. It's not a PRIVATE message anymore if you can view it.

No, I am saying that moderators should not be able to view personal messages.
(This is something that should only be visible by the Admin... but, don't complain there either. Anything truly personal should be sent in a letter or secure email.)

Connection issues, most likely with the MySQL server, have been preventing users from logging in and staying logged in.

Working on a resolution. I always enjoy troubleshooting issues that are random and have what appear to be no cause.

Chat appears to be working better will see later today when server is more heavily loaded how well it handles. But been good so far.. Some updates to your to-do list Zylstra

Things that might want to be added:

• Disable the ability to allow users to create their own "rooms" (Makes moderation easier) - Personally I like the idea of users ability to create their own rooms. So for now I think this one will stay.
  
• More basic theme, or even one that matches the forums a bit better. The built in themes are hard on the eyes. - If the stability of the chat continues to stay the way it has been the last few hours and not the way it was at the beginning of the day with lag then I'll work on creating a CH theme.
  
• Disable file transfer
• AI or regular moderation bot - Almost thinking a bot wont be needed since moderation can be done through the forum, if the users bad they'll be banned from forum.
  
• Make chat open in new, smaller window? (It takes up the entire window right now) - Done
  
• If there are clients for FlashChat available, post links to them, and possibly even see if Zer0 can be integrated into such a client. - So far not seeing anything.

Well guess I spoke too soon.. Things appeared to be working better, however, just ran into the same situation I was running into earlier where chat never seems to connect. Looking at the server processes it appears other things running that's likely they're to blame. Not sure, guess the server just wanted to wait until I got my hopes up about things looking optimistic.

So strange, I've been connected since my initial post this morning, so been connected for over 24 hours with no issues.

I did manage to manipulate the theme into a more basic look... to me, its still a bit hard on the eyes... and a bit weird looking, but, its better.
