Will my motherboard support GeForce 9800 or Radeon 4850?
    « on: October 16, 2008, 12:34:29 PM »
    Hello,

I am looking to buy a new graphics card to enable me to play the latest games, I am specifically looking at getting a GeForce 9800GT or an ATI Radeon 4850.

However, my motherboard isn't the greatest and I'm not sure that it will cope.

I have an Asus P5VD2-MX SE, specs are listed - http://www.ciao.co.uk/ASUS_P5VD2_MX_SE__6638990

I have a 450W PSU which I understand is sufficient.

    I have a Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4ghz processor and 2gb DDR2 Ram.

Can anyone help with this, I would really appreciate any advice you can give.

    Cheers!

      your motherboard should do fine.

BTW, the 4850 outperforms the 9800gt.
