over frequency of computer

i encounter black screen and come out the over frequency in my computer because i choose high resolution in my properties,what will i do ?thank you

Any other monitor you can use to bring down your resolution settings?

Boot to safe mode by tapping F8 repeatedly on startup before you see the Windows splash screen...be patient it may take awhile to load.
Once in go to Control Panel and change the settings to something more realistic...
